Cabinet painting in Hendersonville, TN

Our process

  1. Remove and label. Doors, drawer fronts and hardware come off and are labeled so everything goes back where it belongs.
  2. Clean and degrease. Kitchen grease is the main reason cabinet paint fails, so we clean every surface thoroughly.
  3. Sand and repair. We scuff-sand for adhesion and fill dents, dings and open grain where needed.
  4. Prime. A bonding primer made for cabinets locks the finish to the surface.
  5. Finish. Durable cabinet-grade enamel is applied for a smooth, even finish.
  6. Reinstall. We rehang doors, adjust hinges and install your hardware, new or existing.

Is my kitchen a good fit?

Solid wood and MDF cabinets paint beautifully. Peeling thermofoil or laminate usually isn’t a good candidate, and we’ll tell you that honestly during the walkthrough.

Living with it during the project

Your kitchen stays mostly usable while we work. Paint is dry to the touch quickly but takes a couple of weeks to fully cure, so we’ll show you how to treat new cabinets during that time.

Common questions

How long does cabinet painting take?

Most kitchens take about a week from start to reinstall, depending on the number of doors and drawers.

Can you change the hardware?

Yes. We can fill old holes and drill for new pulls and knobs. Pick them before we start so we can plan the layout.

What colors work best?

White and off-white remain popular. Navy, green and greige islands are a common two-tone choice. Our free color consultation can help you decide.
