Commercial & Institutional

Commercial and institutional painting in Middle Tennessee

Top Coat paints buildings that can't close for the work: classrooms, clinics, offices, sanctuaries and public facilities. We plan each project around the people who use the building, the schedule it has to meet and the documentation the owner needs at closeout.

We're an SBA-certified service-disabled veteran-owned small business, licensed in Tennessee (#86478) for painting, special coatings and waterproofing, and sandblasting. We work for facility owners directly, and as the painting subcontractor for general contractors.

What owners can expect

A clear scope before work starts. Our proposals are itemized and built on Painting Contractors Association (PCA) standards and production rates. You know what's included, what isn't and how it's priced.

Work that fits your operations. After-hours, weekend, phased and zone-by-zone schedules are normal for us. We agree on access, staging and protection of occupied areas in preconstruction, not on the first morning.

One point of contact. One person owns your project from estimate to closeout and reports progress daily, with photo documentation.

Coatings specified for the surface. We use Sherwin-Williams and PPG systems, or the manufacturer named in your specification, and we prepare the surface to that system's requirements.

A clean closeout. Punch list completed, product data and color schedules delivered, and the space handed back ready to use.

Capacity

Top Coat runs multiple crews, so we can staff concurrent projects or put more painters on one phased job when the schedule tightens. We serve Middle Tennessee and travel regionally.

Areas we serve

Based in Greenbrier, we work across Middle Tennessee and travel regionally for larger commercial, institutional and government projects.
