Painting for colleges and universities

Campus work runs on the academic calendar. Classrooms have to be ready for the first day of the term, buildings stay open during sessions, and facilities teams juggle many buildings with one maintenance budget. Top Coat plans painting work around all of that.

What we paint on campus

  • Classrooms, lecture halls and labs
  • Administrative offices and student services
  • Corridors, stairwells, lobbies and common areas
  • Libraries, student centers and athletic facilities
  • Building exteriors, trim and envelope coatings

Built around the academic calendar

We schedule the heaviest work for breaks: winter break, spring break and summer. During the term, we work after hours or close off one zone at a time. Before we start, we confirm with your facilities team which spaces are needed for classes, events and move-in, and we build the phasing around them.

Working on an open campus

  • Crews check in with facilities each day, follow campus parking and access rules, and wear identification.
  • Work zones are marked and kept clean at the end of every shift.
  • Low-odor, low-VOC products are used in occupied buildings.
  • We coordinate with campus safety on any after-hours access.

Planning for multiple buildings

For multi-building or recurring work, we can price a program by building or by phase, so you can match the work to your budget cycle. Our estimates are itemized and built on PCA production rates, which makes them easy to compare and approve.

Public institutions

As an SBA-certified SDVOSB with Tennessee license #86478, we’re set up for public procurement, vendor registration and certificates of insurance.
