Interior house painting in Springfield, TN

Springfield has everything from older homes near the historic downtown to brand-new builds on the edge of town, and each needs a different approach. Top Coat paints interiors across Springfield and Robertson County, with prep matched to the house in front of us.

We’re a veteran-owned, licensed and insured painting company based just down the road in Greenbrier.

  • Veteran-Owned
  • TN License #86478
  • 3-Year Warranty
  • BBB Accredited

Older homes need more prep

Plaster walls, layers of old paint and original wood trim reward careful work. In older homes, we:

  • Repair plaster cracks and patch so they disappear under paint
  • Scuff-sand glossy trim so new paint bonds instead of peeling
  • Prime water stains and bare spots so they don’t bleed through
  • Re-caulk trim gaps for clean, sharp lines

Newer homes

New construction often comes with flat builder paint and settling cracks in the first year or two. We patch nail pops and corner cracks, then repaint in a finish that holds up to everyday life.

Common questions

How long will it take?

Most single rooms take a day, and a full main floor usually takes two to four days. Older homes with more repairs can take longer, and your estimate spells that out.

Can you paint over wallpaper?

We prefer to remove it, since paint over wallpaper often shows seams or bubbles. We’ll look at it during the walkthrough and recommend the best option.

Do you paint ceilings?

Yes, including stain-blocking primer for water marks and smoke staining.
